As a board-certified family medicine physician, Dr. Lamia Kadir is dedicated to building long-lasting relationships with her patients and their families. She is one of the experienced doctors serving patients at Family Medicine Austin in Austin, Texas.
Dr. Kadir graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She continued on to study at Ross University Medical School, where she earned her Doctor of Medicine degree. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Kadir completed a residency in Family and Community Medicine at the University of California, Davis.
Dr. Kadir has been practicing family medicine for 10 years. She affiliated with several professional organizations, including:

• Texas Academy of Family Physicians
• American Academy of Family Physicians
Throughout her career, Dr. Kadir has remained active in her community. In 2014, she led Diabetes 101, which was an intensive diabetes education class for the community of Round Rock, Texas. In the same year, she also spoke at the annual TAFP Family Medicine Conference on Women’s Health. In 2015, she hosted the First Annual Ideal Medicine Health Fest for the community of Austin, Texas, and she chaired the Annual Texas Academy Family Physician Conference.
Although Dr. Kadir enjoys treating patients of all ages and providing all types of family medicine services, she has a particular interest in women’s health, chronic disease management, preventive medicine, and basic dermatology. In her free time, she enjoys dreaming of international vacations and reading books to her children at bedtime. Dr. Kadir speaks basic Spanish and Urdu.
