April Murrieta (she/her) is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). She is an Austin native and continues to live in the area. She has practiced as a Nurse Practitioner for 5 years, and has been a Registered Nurse for over 20 years. She obtained her Masters of Nursing, and Nurse Practitioner degree at The University of Texas at Arlington. She practices evidence-based medicine and empowers patients to regain control of their health by addressing both acute, and chronic needs. She believes preventative medicine is key for the optimal health of the patient. April is an advocate for mental health, and is LGBTQ+ friendly. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters and fur-babies, planting in her flower gardens, attending live music venues and visiting with family and friends.
