He began his academic career at the University of Texas at Austin before earning a medical degree from the University of Monterrey in Mexico. Dr. Trevino completed a residency in Family Medicine through the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, McAllen Program, achieving primary Board Certification in the specialty.
